ALPHARETTA, GA – (April 30, 2020) Due to the devastating effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impacts globally, there continues to be a severe shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and cleaning supplies for both the general population and, most importantly, our first responders. Access to quality supplies has proven to be difficult for first responders as they continue serve our community needs while ensuring they themselves are protected against the spread of the virus. These first responders put their lives in jeopardy day in and day out to ensure our communities are safe and out of harms way.
Today, Mountain Express Oil Company, a national wholesaler of fuel and convenience store services, donated to the City of Alpharetta over 9,000 pieces of PPE and cleaning supplies. Through the company’s strategic partnerships within the supply chain, the company has been able to source 1,200 masks, 4,000 vinyl gloves, 3,800 disinfectant towels, and 15 gallons of disinfectant for the city’s use to outfit their first responders. “During the early stages of the Coronavirus pandemic, our Mountain Express team mobilized quickly with our supply chain partners to ensure that our 500 convenience store locations were well equipped with the supplies they need to safely serve our customers. Being deemed an essential business to our community, we needed to act quick to ensure we would be able to serve the needs of the public. With the excess supplies we were able to source, working with the City of Alpharetta was the right thing to do.” Lamar Frady, CEO of Mountain Express.

Currently, Mountain Express Oil Company Oil owns and/or controls more than 200 gas stations and provides fuel to more than 600—across the United States.
By 2021, the company is projected to own/control more than 300 stations and service nearly 800. It is this vision that motivates the Mountain Express Oil Company team to go the extra mile, creating mutually beneficial relationships with each gas station owner they represent.
