ACWORTH, GA – (Dec. 21, 2020) Mountain Express Oil Company, an innovative oil company based in Acworth was recently recognized as one of Atlanta’s 50 Largest Private Companies by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
This achievement comes not long after Mountain Express was purchased in March by President, Turjo Wadud, and CEO, Lamar Frady.
Atlanta’s 50 Largest Private Companies list is ranked by 2019 companywide revenue, with Mountain Express earning nearly $435 million, landing them recognition for the second year in a row.

It’s been incredible to see such positive change for our employees and partners, and to bring attention to the oil industry that exists in the backyard of metro Atlanta.”
Mountain Express is a creative fuel supplier that deals in real estate, providing their operators with opportunity to buy their own retail location. The duo is looking forward to expansion, hoping to complete $250 million in real estate deals in 2021 with the goal of selling 1 billion gallons of gasoline.
Currently, Mountain Express owns and/or controls more than 200 gas stations across the United States, with an overall goal to expand that number to 300 stations by the end of 2021. The company was originally founded in 2000 and has always been based in Acworth, GA.
